Nusphere - live trance and breaks |
|
David Prentice first started experimenting with electronic music in the late 80’s, experimenting with a Yamaha DX100 synth and multitrack tape recorder inspired by electronic music pioneers such as Jean Michel Jarre, Brian Eno, Pink Floyd and the emerging acid house scene of the time.
Years later as a student in Leicester in the late 90s Dave adopted the name Nusphere. The name Nusphere is a variant on the term noosphere, which is a theoretical concept about evolution.
Nuspheres sound is increasingly recognised is a bold boundary dissolving mix of Trance, Breakbeat, DnB, Dub, chillout and much more.
Nuspheres signature sound is exemplified by live experimentation and improvisation whilst performing variations of his own music using laptop, keyboard and effect units. An organic element is often added to the performance with collaborative performances from other musicians.
